Clients are often surprised with the simplicity of my financial plans. In my 12 years of experience in financial services, I’ve discovered the biggest challenge for clients is just getting started. By delivering an easy to understand plan, I help my clients clarify their most important goals and dreams.

I feel lucky to do this work; I get to help my friends, neighbors, and local business owners who are doing extraordinary things in the world.

I help young professionals balance their long-term goals with their day-to-day obligations. I help mature couples confirm that their years of diligence have paid off and they are ready to retire comfortably. I help others to explore their options when planning through a major life transition such as a career change, divorce or buying or selling a business.

Early in my career, I witnessed the pain and heartbreak a dramatic stock market decline could cause for those who were caught unprepared. Having been there, side by side, counseling retirement savers through the depths of the 2008-2009 recession, I learned the true value of a having a financial plan.

When I started my own firm in 2010, I made it my mission to help as many retirement savers avoid being blindsided ever again. I often tell my clients that, “Making a lot of money is nice, but losing a lot of money can be a disaster.” This strategic approach has helped my clients control the amount of risk they need to take and restore some of the financial confidence they lost during the Great Recession.

It’s incredibly rewarding to help my clients make good decisions for their unique goals and circumstances. I know I’m successful when my clients can spend their retirement savings with purpose and confidence.

Away from the office, I enjoy the game of golf, fishing for giant bass, reading about science and technology, cooking great food, dreaming about muscle cars, rooting for my favorite Chicago sports teams and spending time relaxing with my wife, family and friends.
